Fill the Hole
We began 2010 by reading the book The Hole in Our Gospel. The main premise of this book is that the church in general tends to forget about the part of the Gospel that involves reaching out and helping others. In response to The Hole in Our Gospel, we have spent the last several weeks during Lent trying to “fill the hole.” Our efforts will continue beyond the Lenten season, and you can be a part!
What If...
Spring Into Missions
Join us for our Local Missions Day, "Spring into Missions" on Saturday, April 24! United Methodist churches all over the country will be doing similar projects that day as a part of the Change the World event. We are planning to have 15 to 25 projects that we will do on this great day. We need lots of volunteers (both youth and adults) who have a willing spirit and can pull weeds, trim a hedge or paint, putty or hammer with supervision. We also need people who can lead a team. Sign up to help on Check-In online or in next Sunday's bulletin. More info...
On-Going Opportunities to "Fill the Hole"
Throughout the season of Lent, we "filled the hole" for people in need. (Not sure what "the hole" is? Click here to read about the book The Hole in Our Gospel.) Lent has come to an end, but we will have on-going needs that you can fill any time. We will be keeping various needs in front of you, so watch for them in E-News and Sunday's bulletin.
